Delete your account
In plain English
- You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, in about a minute. You don't need to contact us.
- Can't sign in? Email us and we'll delete it for you within 30 days.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel Premium. Cancel that in your App Store or Google Play settings first.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the app Open OwóBook and sign in.
- Go to Shop On Home, tap the shop icon at the top to open your Shop screen.
- Tap Delete account Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account, in red.
- Confirm it's you Type your password, or choose your Google or Apple account again.
When it finishes, you're signed out and returned to the sign-in screen.
What we delete
- Your account and sign-in
- Your shop details, bank details and logo
- All your invoices and receipts
- All your customers
- All your items
- Your ledger of who owes you
- Your stock, stock movements and suppliers
What we can't delete
- Receipts, images and PDFs you already sent to customers. They stay on their phones and in their chat apps.
- Data Apple, Google or the chat apps hold under their own policies, such as purchase records and advertising data.
- Backups, which are kept for 7 days and then removed.
- Temporary receipt files on your own phone. Uninstalling the app removes them.
If you used Google sign-in, you can also remove OwóBook from your Google Account under Third-party connections. If you used Sign in with Apple, you can stop using it in your Apple Account settings.
If you have staff
When you delete your shop, your staff keep their own OwóBook sign-in accounts, but they lose access to your shop and all of its records are deleted. Staff can delete their own accounts the same way.
Can't sign in?
If you forgot your password or can't open the app, email us from the address you signed up with. The button below opens an email with the details we need. We may ask a question to confirm it's you, then delete your account and data as described above and confirm by email within 30 days.
